The Town of Southport Cemetery Commission will be accepting letters of interest to service as a member of the Cemetery Commission.  Applicants must be a resident of Southport.  Send letters to Town Clerk, Carolyn A. Renko, 1139 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, New York, 14904.

Items not accepted:  Carbon paper, plastic folders, compact discs, security tapes and microfiche,

brown or yellow envelopes, Kraft envelopes, paper towels, glass or hanging file folders.

Chapel Park Community Center

As of January 10, 2012, the fees to rent the Chapel Park Community Center have increased as follows:

Weeknight Rental (Monday - Friday) Resident                   $      75.00

Weeknight Rental (Monday - Friday) Non-Resident           $    100.00

Saturday, Sunday & Holidays - Resident                            $     100.00

Saturday, Sunday & Holidays - Non-Resident                    $     125.00

SOUTHPORT HISTORICAL SOCIETY

New 2012 Calendar

The 2012 Historical Society Calendar is now available at the Town Clerk's Office for $5.00.  The calendar is full of interesting information about the history of the people and places of our town.  It is a nice keepsake or a wonderful gift for the Holidays.
